Feature Example


Dashboard
The Dashboard page provides a high-level summary of a single plant. It provides information about how the plant is operating, and about potential problems with the plant. The other input pages provide more detail on these potential problems.


Inverter Efficiency
The Inverter Efficiency page shows information about the aggregate and individual inverter losses when converting DC power from the module array to AC power for the grid. The efficiency of each inverter is shown in a sorted bar chart, to enable users to quickly spot low performing inverters. A specific inverter can be selected for further assessment in the part load efficiency curve scatter plot detail chart to the right. Selecting an inverter is handled by choosing one from the drop-down selection list, or by clicking a bar on the efficiency bar chart.


DC Health
The DC Health page shows information about the operational status of the DC strings in the photovoltaic array. It distinguishes between strings that are down (not operational) and strings that are still operating but producing less energy than would be expected relative to neighboring strings. The DC Health page is divided into three sections: summary, down strings, and low strings.


Soiling Losses
The Soiling Loss page provides detailed information about soiling of modules in the array, rain events, and energy losses due to soiling.




Shading Losses
The shading loss page provides detailed information about energy losses due to intra-array or obstruction shading. The shading data presented here includes actual losses based on measured operational data and expected loss based on an energy model’s shading loss predictions.


Wash Optimization
The Wash Optimization page helps you determine the most cost-effective dates to schedule module washing. Use the Wash Dates Calculator to determine the number of washes per year.


Loss Breakdown
The Loss Breakdown graph shows actual and expected percentages for each loss category. The expected values depend on how Advanced Analytics Solar was configured and may be based on estimates calculated by a model of the plant, or on contractual performance obligations. The graph also shows recoverable production, the total production that would be recovered if all cost-effective corrective actions were taken.


Corrective Actions
The Corrective Actions page lists corrective actions that can be taken to increase the plant production. Corrective actions are refreshed every day based on the loss analysis. Whether an action is recoverable or not depends on the cost of taking action and the payback time threshold, both of which are entered on the Maintenance Costs Settings page.
